Replacing Coolant: Notes

Draining coolant from the radiator

Open the coolant reservoir cover.

Open the radiator drain plug.

Thread a hose onto the nipple to collect the coolant.

Close the drain plug when all coolant has been drained.

Draining coolant from the engine

CAUTION: When replacing the engine coolant, it is important that the engine is also drained.

Remove the cylinder block drain plug.
Rinse off the cylinder block with water.
Apply sealing compound (P/N 1161056) to the drain plug. Tighten to 39 Nm .
