Installing the gear selector cable

Carefully insert the cable from the passenger compartment into the engine compartment.
NOTE:
Pulling the cable and bracket through the engine compartment is a two man operation.
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage the cable or sleeve by bending it excessively. Take care not to damage the cable boot.
Locate the cable in the gear selector assembly. Install the gear selector assembly in the car (four screws).
Torque: 25 Nm .
Install:
- The cable sleeve in the gear selector assembly. Lock the sleeve with the clip.
- The cable on the gear selector with the pin.
- The frame over the rubber grommet in the cowl panel (two nuts). Torque: 25 Nm .
