Checking that the torque converter position

Ensure that the torque converter is as far in towards the transmission as possible.

Check with a ruler. The distance between the cover and retaining lugs should be about 14 mm .

Apply a light coating of grease to the torque converter guide studs and in the holes for the guide bushings on the torque converter cover.
