VGLA-Control Module Alarm And Lock, Replacing: Preparation

CAUTION: Before replacing the control module, it is important to read out how the old control module is programmed. This is done in VIDA vehicle communication under the heading Reading programmed values. Read out and note programmed values. After replacing, program the relevant data in the new control module. If the values cannot be read out, consult your closest supervisor/sales company/customer so that the new control module is configured the same as the old control module.

Note any radio code.
Turn ignition key to position 0.
Disconnect the battery's minus cable, otherwise you may generate diagnostic trouble codes, which will be stored, during the work.
