Replacing Gas Struts

- Open the trunk lid/hood. Support the trunk lid/hood.
- Lift up the lock a little. Pull the gas strut off the ball joint (2x).
- Install in reverse order.
- Lubricate the ball joints.
NOTE:
When replacing the gas strut, drain the gas from the old strut.
- Drill a 4 mm hole as shown.
WARNING:
Use protective goggles when drilling.
