Removing/installing motor: Preparation

General:

Before replacing the control unit and/or the slide and tilt roof motor, the following components must be removed or disconnected.

Remove:

A pillar panel, see Replacing the inner panel on the A-post .
Sun shade on the right hand side.
Both sun shade supports.
Grab handle or panel on right.

Disconnect:

Courtesy lighting panel assembly.
Disconnect headlining plug on the right hand side and lift the lining over the door strip.
Remove half the edge of the slide and tilt roof opening.
