Removing/Installing Side Panels In the Cargo Compartment, V40

Rear seats

Fold the rear seat forward. Fold the right backrest down.
Remove the fixed section (A) on the right backrest.

Removing the rear panel

Remove the parcel shelf.
Remove the 2 screws. Remove the carpet in the cargo compartment. Remove the rear panel.
The side panel on the right-hand side. Press together the clips. Pull off the cargo net from the reverse of the cargo compartment panel.
Remove clip A. Remove screw B.
Where applicable: Remove the mountings for the protective net.
Remove the cargo compartment panel from underneath. Use a twisting movement.

Installing the rear panel

Install the cargo compartment panel with a twisting movement.
Install clip A. Install screw B.
The side panel on the right-hand side. Press the cargo net into place on the reverse of the cargo compartment panel.
Where applicable: Install the mountings for the protective net.
Reinstall the rear panel. Reinstall the cargo compartment carpet.

Rear seats

Reinstall the fixed section (A) of the backrest on the right-hand side.
Fold the backrest back into place. Fold the rear seat back to its normal position.
Reinstall the parcel shelf.
