Pressure Bleeding

NOTE: Before bleeding brakes, ensure ignition is off. Clean around brake fluid reservoir filler cap before removing. Top-off brake fluid reservoir as necessary.
  1. Take out special brake fluid collection bottle.
  2. Connect pressure bleeder to brake fluid reservoir. See Fig 1. Follow manufacturers instructions for connecting and using bleeding unit.
  3. Pressurize brake system. Check brake fluid reservoir connector.
  4. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheels.
  5. Remove protective cap from left front bleed nipple.
  6. Connect hose from collection bottle.
  7. Open left front bleed nipple. Close it when there are no more air bubbles in fluid coming out of hose.
  8. Tighten bleed nipple.
  9. Remove hose from bleed nipple. Reinstall protective cap.
  10. Repeat procedure for right rear, left rear and right front brakes. See BRAKE BLEEDING SEQUENCE  table.
  11. Check for leakage from bleed nipples.
  12. Close valve on pressure line. Open a nipple and close it again.
  13. Check for air in brake system and for brake fluid leakage.
