Checking the wiring and component
- Ignition off
- Open the transmission control system.
Check the cable between transmission connector terminal #C4 (transmission side) and the connector for solenoid S4. Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .
Check solenoid S4 by measuring the resistance between the terminal pin on solenoid S4 and the transmission housing. The resistance must be 11-15 Ω. Replace solenoid S4 if the resistance is incorrect.
Remedy as necessary.
