Checking lock-up solenoid SL

• Ignition off
• Check the control module and automatic transmission connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation . Remedy if necessary
• Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
• Ignition on
• Gear selector in position P
• Activate the lock-up solenoid SL.

  The current must oscillate between approximately 0 and 1 A.

  If the current oscillates, the problem was caused by contact resistance and oxidation.

Does the current oscillate? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
