Checking the wiring and component
- Ignition off
- Open the transmission control system.
Check the cable between transmission terminal #C (#A3) and solenoid STH terminals #A and #D (#A4) and solenoid STH terminal #B. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. See Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
Also check the wiring for a short-circuit to supply voltage with the other cables in the wiring harness.
HINT: Check solenoid STH by measuring the solenoid STH resistance between terminals #A and #B. The resistance must be between 3 and 5 Ω.
Remedy as necessary.
