Checking shift solenoid S2

• Ignition off
• Check the control module and automatic transmission connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation . Remedy if necessary
• Ignition on
• Gear selector in position P
• Activate solenoid S2.

  The value must change between OFF and ON.

  If the value changes, the problem was caused by contact resistance and oxidation.

Does the value change? 

• YES 

  Refer to Intermittent fault 

• NO 

  Refer to Checking solenoid S2
