Checking the wiring and component
- Ignition off
- Open the transmission control system.
Check the cable between transmission connector (transmission side) terminal #A (#A1) and solenoid S1 terminals #A and #E (#A5) and solenoid S1 #B. Check for a short-circuit to ground. See Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .
HINT: Check solenoid S1 by measuring the solenoid resistance between terminals A and B. The resistance must be between 18 and 25 Ω.
Remedy as necessary.
