Checking shift solenoid S1

• Ignition off
• Check the control module and automatic transmission connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation . Remedy if necessary
• Ignition on
• Gear selector in position P
• Activate solenoid S1.

  The value must change between OFF and ON.

  If the value oscillates, the fault was caused by contact resistance and oxidation.

• YES 

  Refer to Intermittent fault 

• NO
