Removing the heat exchanger

Remove: 

• the heater. See Engine coolant heater, replacing 
• the control module. See Control module engine coolant heater, replacing 
• the water pump. See Replacing the water pump for the engine coolant heater 
• the glow plug. See Replacing the glow plugs of the engine coolant heater 
• the cable harness.

Expose and replace the heat exchanger.
