Removing the engine coolant heater

Install hose clips on both the engine coolant hoses by the heat exchanger.

Position a container under the heater.

Remove: 

• the hoses.

• the connection to the fuel hose from above. Plug the pipe because of the risk of fuel spillage.

HINT: Use special tool  9512619  (Oetiker pliers) to remove and to fasten the clamps. 

HINT: Tape or hang the fuel hose on the side member. 

Disconnect the connector from above. Angle out the sliding mount for proper access.

Slacken off the mounting nut from the upper edge of the heater.

Remove the two screws for the bracket. Unhook the heater from the upper mounting.
