Work in the engine compartment
NOTE:
Always use new O-rings lubricated with compressor oil.
- Position the pipe and hose connections on the compressor
- Tighten to 25 Nm .
- Thread the screws on to the upper mountings on the air conditioning aggregate
- Tighten to 10 Nm .
- Install the hose clamp and the charge air pipe and hose on the right-hand side (turbocharged engines only ).
- Install the air pipe on the control module box.
- Top up with oil. See Oil in the A/C system
- Vacuum pump the system and leak test. See Refrigerant, draining
- Fill the system and check for leaks. See Refrigerant, draining
- Connect the battery negative lead. See Battery, replacing
