Expansion valve, replacing: Installation
NOTE:
Always use new O-rings lubricated with compressor oil.
- Install the O-rings on the pipe from the evaporator
- Install the expansion valve. Thread on the screws. Tighten the screws. Tighten to: 10 Nm
- Install the O-rings on the pipes
- Position the pipes and the holders towards the expansion valve. At the same time check that the pipes are on the correct holder at the member
- Thread in the screw. Tighten the holder with the pipes on the expansion valve. Tighten to: 10 Nm
- Install the heat shield. Secure the heat shield using the plastic nuts
- Press the clamp together on the member
- Install the engine stabilizer brace in the engine compartment. 5 cylinder engine . See Replacing cross stay/upper torque rod
- Install the engine stabilizer brace in the engine compartment. 6 cylinder engine . See Replacing cross stay/upper torque rod
- Vacuum pump and test the system. See Refrigerant, draining
- Fill the system with refrigerant. Check for leaks according to Refrigerant, draining
- Connect the battery negative lead. See Battery, replacing
