Checking the wires
Check the signal wire between the rear electronic module (REM) connector B06 (D6) and the level sensor (ISM) connector 2 for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults .
Check the two connectors for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Contact resistance and oxidation .
If no fault is found, replace the sensor.
