Checking the cable

Check the wiring. Check for an open-circuit. See Open-circuit, permanent faults . Check for a short-circuit to ground. See Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .

Check the wiring for all the courtesy lighting.

There are 4 lamps; left front, right front, left rear and right rear.

Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #2E and terminal #2 on each lamp. Check that terminal #1 on each lamp is grounded.

Also check the connector for the wiring to the rear courtesy lighting.

Remedy as necessary.
