Checking the component and wire

• Ignition off.

  Check the wire between central electronic module (CEM) connector #3B and ignition lock connector #15A (#1) for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults , and for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults .

  Additional information: 

  • The voltage should be 0 V if the key is in position 0 or I.
