Vent the boot

Venting is carried out to remove any over pressure in the boot. Use a rounded screwdriver.

Carefully insert the screwdriver between the drive shaft and boot. Ensure that the boot is in position on the drive shaft.

Ensure that the boot is aligned against the inner rib on the drive shaft.

Install a new clamp. Use pliers 9512619 .

Install the drive shafts 

For the left-hand side  , see Installing the drive shaft  .

For the right-hand side  , see Install the drive shaft in the gearbox , Align the drive shaft in the hub and the spring strut in the wheel spindle , Adjust the wheel spindle to the dimension measured prior to removal and Installing brake components on the wheel spindle

Spray wax, part number 30787812, on the outer gaiter. After installing drive shaft in vehicle, turn the wheel and check, and improve if needed, the wax protection on the gaiter.
