Checking the fuse, wiring and sensors
Check that the fuse for the stop lamp circuit is intact. If the fuse is blown, first check the circuit for the stop lamp switch before replacing the fuse. Check for a short-circuit to supply.
If the fuse is intact, check the circuit for the stop lamp switch. Check for an open-circuit and a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.
