Checking the wiring and sensor
Check the connections of the ABS control unit and the pedal pressure sensor for contact resistance and oxidation, as described in Contact resistance and oxidation .
Check the wiring between pedal pressure sensor:
- #1 and control unit #13 (#A13)
- #2 and control unit #29 (#A29)
- #5 and control unit #32 (#A32)
for an intermittent open circuit as described in Open-circuit, intermittent faults , an intermittent short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults , and an intermittent short circuit to voltage supply as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage, intermittent faults .
Do the necessary corrective action.
