Checking wiring and sensors
Check the wiring between the ABS control module and the connectors for the yaw rate sensors.
For yaw rate sensor 1:
- terminal #1 and control module terminal #42 (terminal #A42)
- terminal #2 and control module terminal #11 (terminal #A11)
- terminal #3 and control module terminal #27 (#A27).
For yaw rate sensor 2:
- terminal #1 and control module terminal #14 (terminal #A14)
- terminal #2 and control module terminal #30 (#A30)
- terminal #3 and control module terminal #45 (terminal #A45).
Check for an open-circuit, a short-circuit to ground and a short-circuit to supply voltage.
HINT: With the ignition switched on, check the yaw rate sensors: Measure the signal from the sensor between:
HINT: Yaw rate sensor 1:
- terminals #11 and #42 on the breakout box. The voltage must be approximately 2.5 V
- terminals #11 and #27 on the breakout box. The voltage must be approximately 5 V.
HINT: Yaw rate sensor 2:
- terminals #14 and #30 on the breakout box. The voltage must be approximately 2.5 V
- terminals #30 and #45 on the breakout box. The voltage must be approximately 5 V.
Remedy as necessary.

Check the wiring between the lateral acceleration sensor connector:
- terminal #1 and control module terminal #40 (terminal #A40)
- terminal #2 and control module terminal #9 (terminal #A9)
- terminal #3 and control module terminal #25 (terminal #A25).
Check for an open-circuit, a short-circuit to ground and a short-circuit to supply voltage.
HINT: Check the lateral acceleration sensor, with the ignition on, by measuring the signal from the sensor between:
- terminals #9 and #40 on the breakout box. The voltage must be approximately 2.5 V
- terminals #9 and #25 on the breakout box. The voltage must be approximately 5 V.
Remedy as necessary.

Check the wiring between the control module and the connectors for the brake pressure sensors.
For brake pressure sensor 1:
- terminal #1 and control module terminal #28 (terminal #A28)
- terminal #2 and control module terminal #12 (terminal #A12)
- terminal #3 and control module terminal #43 (terminal #A43).
For brake pressure sensor 2:
- terminal #1 and control module terminal #26 (terminal #A26)
- terminal #2 and control module terminal #10 (terminal #A10)
- terminal #3 and control module terminal #41 (terminal #A41).
Check for an open-circuit, a short-circuit to ground and a short-circuit to supply voltage.
