Checking the wiring and sensor
Check the wiring between pressure sensor 1:
- #1 and control unit #28 (#A28)
- #2 and control unit #12 (#A12)
- #3 and control unit #43 (#A43)
Check the wiring between pressure sensor 2:
- #1 and control unit #26 (#A26)
- #2 and control unit #10 (#A10)
- #3 and control unit #41 (#A41)
for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults , a short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults , and a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
HINT: With the ignition on, check brake pressure sensor 1 by testing the signal of pressure sensor 1 between:
- #28 and #43 on the test box. The voltage should be approximately 5 V.
- #12 and #28 on the test box. The voltage should be between 0.25-4.75 V, depending on the brake pressure.
HINT: With the ignition on, check brake pressure sensor 2 by testing the signal of pressure sensor 2 between:
- #26 and #41 on the test box. The voltage should be approximately 5 V.
- #10 and #26 on the test box. The voltage should be between 0.25-4.75 V, depending on the brake pressure.
Do the necessary corrective action.
