Checking the wiring and sensor

Check the wiring between brake pressure sensor 1:

• #1 and control unit #28 (#A28)
• #2 and control unit #12 (#A12)
• #3 and control unit #43 (#A43)

for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults , a short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults , and a short circuit to voltage supply, as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .

HINT: With the ignition on, check brake pressure sensor 1 by testing the sensor signal between: 

• #28 and #43 on the test box. The voltage should be approximately 5 V.
• #12 and #28 on the test box. The voltage should be 0.25-4.75 V, depending on the brake pressure.

Do the necessary corrective action.
