Checking the wiring and component

Check the wires between control unit #47 and the battery for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults , and for a short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .

Check to see if fuse 4 in the engine compartment relay/fuse box has blown. If the fuse has blown, check the wire between the fuse and control unit #47 for a short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults and replace the fuse.

Do the necessary corrective action.
