Checking the wires and components
Check the fuse 11D/1 is intact.
Check the wires between rear electronic module (REM) B22 (E2) and left and right boot lighting 2 for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults , short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults and short circuit to voltage supply as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
Check ground wires between left and right boot lighting 4 and ground point for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults .
Check the wire between fuse 11D/1 2 and rear electronic module (REM) B26 (E6) for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults and short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .
Do the necessary corrective action.

- When the boot lid is open, the voltage between the left and right boot lighting 2 and ground will be approximately 12 V.
