Checking wire and replacement of component

Check the wire between the control unit 1A and reverse light contact 2 (3/10) for a short-circuit to voltage supply as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults , and for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Also check the connectors for a short circuit to voltage supply, as described in Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults , and for an open circuit as described in Open-circuit, permanent faults .

If no fault is found on the wire, check the function of the reversing lamp switch.

HINT: If reverse light contact is closed, the voltage between 1 and 2 on the contact is 0 V. 

Do the necessary corrective action.

Check the wire between the central electronic module (CEM) 1A and reverse light contact 2 (3/10) for a short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .

Also check the connector for a short circuit to ground as described in Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .

If no fault is found on the wire, check the function of the reversing lamp switch.

HINT: If brake light contact is closed, the voltage between 1 and 2 on the contact is 0 V. 

Do the necessary corrective action.
