If wet

Remove four bolts and slightly raise the back of the center console.

Remove the wet insulation mat.

Dry floor thoroughly.

Install a new insulation mat.

NOTE:

If drops or water can be squeezed from mat foam, or if a mat has an odor, the mat is wet  .

If damp

Dry out the floor with a rag or paper as much as possible.

Lift the insulation mat from the floor enough so that air can circulate. Use a fan to dry out the floor and insulation.

If dry, or after completing the above:

Remove passenger's side front seat

NOTE:

Front passenger's seat must be removed to replace wet center or front mats, and to prepare for passenger power seat harness upgrade described in Campaign 91D: Service Bulletin 37-0003.

Driver's seat may also need to be removed if driver's side mats are wet, as explained later in this method.
