Remove the exhaust manifold and fuel rail

Remove

• the exhaust pipe according to procedure Replacing exhaust manifold .
• the belt transmission according to procedure Remove .

Lift up and put the fuel rail with injectors to one side. Use holder 9995533 , for the injectors.

Remove the two ground strips from the engine.

Remove:

• the engine cooling fan (FC) and the intake manifold.
• the radiator hose from the thermostat housing
• the camshaft pulleys, use counterhold 9995199 mark up the pulleys (inlet/outlet)
• the inner timing cover screw
