Checking Component And Cables

Check cable between control module #1 and glow plug terminal for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults , a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults and a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults .
If there is no fault in the cable the glow plug should be replaced.
Remedy as necessary.

- With ignition on and glow plug electrical terminal disconnected the voltage between glow plug electrical terminal (engine control module (ECM) side) and ground should be approximately 9 V.
