Checking Component And Cables

Check cable between control module #12 and water pump terminal 1 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults .
If no faults are found in the cable the water pump should be replaced.
Remedy as necessary.

- With ignition on and the water pump connector disconnected the voltage between the water pump terminal 1 (engine control module (ECM) side) and ground should be approximately 0 V.
