Intermittent Fault

Check cable between ECC control module #B8 and temperature sensor terminal 4 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Intermittent Faults .

Remedy as necessary.

Other information:

To remove the control module, refer to Replacing ECC Control Module .
To access/replace the passenger compartment temperature sensor, refer to Replacing Passenger Compartment Temperature Sensor (ECC) .
Breakout box connection, refer to Connection Of Breakout Box ECC .
Voltage on the control signal lead should be battery voltage approximately when the fan is activated. For other values, refer to Signal Specification ECC .
