Checking, Cables And Components

Check that the bulbs in the climate control panel are not defective.

Check the climate control connector (control module connector) for Contact Resistance And Oxidation .

Check cable for power supply between rheostat terminal 4 and control module (ECC #A16) (MCC #B18) for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .

Remedy as necessary.

The signal from the rheostat is a pulsed signal with a frequency of approximately 125 Hz. For other values, see Signal Specification ECC and Signal Descriptions MCC .
