Intermittent Fault

Check the ECC control module and power unit connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact Resistance And Oxidation .

Check cable between ECC control module #A14 and power unit terminal #A2 for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Intermittent Faults and an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Intermittent Faults .

Remedy as necessary.

Other information:

To remove the control module, refer to Replacing ECC Control Module .
To access/replace the power unit, refer to Replacing the Power Unit (Electronic Climate Control) .
Connection of breakout box to ECC control module, refer to Connection Of Breakout Box ECC .
Voltage on signal cable varies between 0.22 - 2.5 V. For other values, refer to Signal Specification ECC .
