Checking Cables

Check cable between ECC control module #A14 and power unit terminal #A2 for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults , and for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults .

If cables are OK, try a new power unit.

Remedy as necessary.

Other information:

To access/replace the blower power unit, refer to Replacing the Power Unit (Electronic Climate Control) .
Connection of breakout box to ECC control module, refer to Connection Of Breakout Box ECC .
Voltage on signal cable varies between 0.22-2.5 V. For other values, refer to Signal Specification ECC .
