Intermittent Fault

Check signal cable between ECC control module #A29 and damper motor terminal 3 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Intermittent Faults .

Check cable for power supply between ECC control module #A7 and damper motor terminal 2 for an intermittent open circuit according to Open-Circuit, Intermittent Faults .

To remove the control module, refer to Replacing ECC Control Module .
The voltage on the signal cable varies between approximately 0-5 V depending on the damper motor position. The power supply to the damper motor should be approximately 5 V. For other values, see Signal Specification ECC .
