Checking Components

Check signal cable between ECC control module #A29 and damper motor terminal 3 for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults .

Check cable for power supply between ECC control module #A7 and damper motor terminal 2 for an open circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .

If cables are OK, try a new damper motor.

Remedy as necessary.

The voltage on the signal cable varies between approximately 0-5 V depending on the damper motor position. The power supply to the damper motor should be approximately 5 V. For other values, Signal Specification ECC .
