Check signal cable between ECC control module #A28 and damper motor terminal 3 for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults and a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults .

If cables are OK, try a new damper motor.

Remedy as necessary.

To connect the breakout box, see Connection Of Breakout Box ECC .
Voltage on signal cable varies between approximately 0-5 V depending on damper motor position. Damper motor power supply should be approximately 5 V. For other values, see Signal Specification ECC .
