Intermittent Fault

Check outside temperature sensor and control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact Resistance And Oxidation .

Check cable between ECC control module #A19 and outside temperature sensor terminal 2 for an intermittent open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Intermittent Faults and an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage, Intermittent Faults .

Check cable between control module #A22 and outside temperature sensor terminal 4 for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Intermittent Faults and an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage, Intermittent Faults .

Remedy as necessary.

The voltage on the signal cable varies with temperature. At 20°C voltage should be approximately 2.5 V. For other values, see Signal Specification ECC .
