Checking Components And Cables

Check outside temperature sensor resistance. For resistance values, see ECC Electrical Specifications .

Check cable between ECC control module #A19 and outside temperature sensor terminal 2 for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults .

Remedy as necessary.

The voltage on the signal cable varies with temperature. At 20°C (68°F) voltage should be approximately 2.5 V. For other values, see Signal Specification ECC .
