Intermittent Fault

Check cable between ECC control module #A19 and outside temperature sensor terminal 2 for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults .

Remedy as necessary.

Other information:

To install a new outside temperature sensor, refer to Replacing outside temperature sensor (Electronic climate control) .
To connect the breakout box, see Connection of breakout box ECC .
The voltage on the signal cable varies with temperature. At 20°C voltage should be approximately 2.5 V. For other values, see Signal specification ECC .
