Checking Outside Temperature Sensor

• Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VIDA station. Use it in stand alone mode and connect it to the data link connector (DLC) in the car.
• Ignition on.
• Go into scrolling values.
• Read off outside temperature.

  Check the outside temperature reading is correct. Compare with the actual air temperature.

Is the temperature reading OK? 

• YES 

  Refer to Intermittent Fault 

• NO 

  Refer to Checking Components And Cables
