Replacing the sealing ring on the gear shift linkage rod

Remove the old sealing ring using a small rounded screwdriver. Exercise care not to damage the linkage.
Install the new sealing ring. Apply ATF oil on the ring. Knock the ring in position using a drift 9995476 .
