Key Lock Cable, Adjusting: Preparations

Remove:

• The battery's minus cable.
• The center console. See Removing the center console .

Remove:

• The steering column covers
• The sound wall and knee protection under the dashboard
• Fold away the mat and remove the side panel.

Disconnect the cable from the ignition switch

• Move the gear shift lever to position P
• Turn the ignition key to position I  or II 
• Press together the shanks on the cable fastening in the ignition switch and pull out the cable.
