Remove the Clamp From the Inner Boot If It Is To Be Replaced

Pull off the boot(s) from drive shaft.

NOTE: The outer constant velocity joint can be cleaned while it is still assembled. To check and clean, see Mark Up the Outer Ring On the Outer Constant Velocity Joint, the Ball Holder And the Inner Ring In Relation To Each Other. Use an Electric Scriber , Remove the Ball Bearings , Remove the Ball Bearing Holder And the Inner Ring From the Shaft , Wash the Constant Velocity Joint Components Thoroughly , Install the Inner Ring In the Ball Holder .

NOTE: The inner constant velocity joint must be cleaned while assembled and blown clean prior to greasing.

If the joint(s) is cleaned assembled, continue to Lubricate the constant Velocity Joint Thoroughly .
