Checking the Carrier Plate

Check that the carrier plate is not damaged or cracked. To replace the carrier plate, see Replacing the Carrier Plate .

Check that:

the transmission mating surfaces to the engine are clean and that the guide sleeves are fault free and in place
the bushing for the torque converter in the crankshaft is fault free.
