Cleaning and checking: Notes

Remove the oil pipe with the hose from the gearbox

Flush the pipe and hose using Dexron IIE/Ford Mercon ATF oil.

Install the oil pipe on the new gearbox

Install a new O-ring on the quick-release connector.

Flush oil cooler using Dexron IIE/Ford Mercon ATF oil.

Fit a hose to the top connection on the cooler.

Place a collection vessel under the return hose. Flush with Dexron IIE/Ford Mercon ATF oil.
